Keeping in mind that them is plural, it has to be two or more of something. I’m sticking with my answer of contact lenses because they assist in sight, the subject of our story.

I’m with tresbien, “them” is plural so we’re talking about two or more things that you can wear unless you’re bathing or sleeping, so they may be contact lenses ‘cause as the link that posted tresbien says, you cant sleep with them cause they can get stuck to your eye or eyelid at the level that they can only be removed with surgery, also they can’t get wet unless you’re using googles.
In the case of the glasses as myopic said you can sleep with them, but I doubt if you can take a bath, but just in the case of hot water ‘cause of the steam you might end facing the floor xD.
It might be underwear… ‘cause even if you sleep with clothes, I wont sleep with underwear… you know, for ‘confort’ reasons.
IDK… I think the clue is kinda incomplete… ‘cause there are many things that you can wear unless you’re bathing or sleeping, i’ll keep thinking.

Shoes? I know it isn’t as good as glasses or contacts, but its applicable… right? I guess I have fallen asleep with shoes on, but same with everything else.

< 0 > because it’s a picture of an eye..? also glasses is plural; a pair of glasses, it’s like trousers one for each leg – glasses, a glass for each eye.. she’s not saying you ‘can’t’ sleep or bathe with them, she’s offering advice, or an instruction for use kinda. And given we talking of sight related topic, and the eye < 0 >, it’s either glasses or contacts imo, but being a scardy cat, I’d hedge (if it’s economically safe to do so) on glasses.. :p

Heya All. Since I’ve heard of “overnight contacts” and leave my cosmetic lenses in when bathing, I’ll opt for a pair of glasses. Do believe both are viable answers though. ScienceAlert Link

This might be a stretch, but what if “contacts” is a play on words? Like the “Contacts” you would have on a cell phone or e-mail accout? These are the kind of things you think about when you can’t fall asleep…

boomer52, I think that’s plausible. Maybe she wanted simply contacts not contact lenses for the reply. Hope you can get some shut eye (sorry, I couldn’t help myself!).

Hey, anyone contemplate that the things you’re supposed to wear are blindfolds? Seems to me that the thing that unifies “bathing” and “sleeping” (in light of the themes presented by the movie trailer) may have more to do with protecting the eyes rather than improving vision. When you’re sleeping, your eyes are closed. When you’re bathing, you’re keeping clean, arguably in a somewhat sterile environment. At all other times, perhaps, your eyes are vulnerable?
